Overview

The Multi-Activity Adventure is the most comprehensive tour we offer — twelve days that combine driving, trekking, horse riding, and cultural immersion into a single itinerary. It is a private tour, fully customisable, and designed for travellers who want to experience Kyrgyzstan at depth rather than breadth.

The itinerary includes the Ala-Kul circuit (4 days, 3,906m pass crossing), Son-Kul yurt stay, the Issyk-Kul south shore, and the Altyn-Arashan hot springs — the four experiences that define Kyrgyzstan for most international visitors. Road sections use a private 4WD; trekking sections have a dedicated mountain guide.

Requires good physical fitness. The Ala-Kul days are strenuous — see tour T01 for detailed difficulty information.

Itinerary

Drive east from Bishkek through the Boom Gorge and along the north shore of Issyk-Kul to Karakol (approx. 4 hours). Check in, equipment check, and briefing for the days ahead.

Begin the Altyn-Arashan valley approach. Arrive at the natural hot springs. Acclimatisation night in a yurt — soak in the thermal springs before the trek begins.

First day of the Ala-Kul circuit. Trek through the Karakol Gorge, gaining elevation through pine forest and alpine meadows. Camp at the high camp below the pass.

The signature day. Cross the Ala-Kul Pass at 3,906m. Descend to Ala-Kul glacial lake at 3,550m — one of the most striking alpine lakes in Central Asia.

Descend from the high country back to Altyn-Arashan. Rest and recover at the hot springs. Yurt overnight.

Drive to the south shore of Issyk-Kul. Stop at Jeti-Oguz (Seven Bulls) red rock formation and the Skazka (Fairy Tale) Canyon. Overnight on the south shore.

Leave Issyk-Kul and drive inland toward Son-Kul high plateau. Ascend to 3,016m. Arrive at yurt camp as the sun drops over the steppe.

Full day on the plateau. Horse riding across the high steppe, interaction with nomadic families, traditional games, and kumiss. Eagle hunting demonstration if available.

Descend from the plateau via dramatic mountain passes. Drive to Naryn — a remote provincial town in the heart of Kyrgyzstan. Overnight in guesthouse.

Final drive back to Bishkek via the Kochkor valley. Arrive Bishkek by early afternoon. Tour ends. Drop-off at hotel or airport.
