Trekking
Peak Lenin Base Camp Trek
RAREOverview
Peak Lenin (7,134m) is one of the most accessible 7,000m peaks in the world — and trekking to its base camp at 4,400m is one of the most powerful mountain experiences in Central Asia. The scale of the Pamir landscape is unlike anything in the Tian Shan: vast, arid, and overwhelming.
The 10-day itinerary travels from Bishkek to Osh before driving into the Pamir foothills to Sary-Mogul village, the traditional base for Peak Lenin expeditions. Acclimatisation hikes build altitude tolerance over two days before the trek proper begins, reaching advanced base camp and finally the expedition base camp at 4,400m.
This tour requires travel insurance with mandatory helicopter evacuation cover. Serious altitude experience — multiple previous nights above 3,500m — is strongly recommended.
